Om jordens blod och urgravens grepp (‘Of earth’s blood and the grave’s grasp’) is a powerful blend of black metal, folk, and atmospheric darkness, interwoven with classical and progressive influences. Traditional instruments such as the violin, viola, willow flute, and hand drum infuse the music with ancient, primal energy. The lyrics, crafted through subconscious writing, serve as a conduit to the mystical and otherworldly. Häxkapell commented: This is the opening track, and the album begins in darkness and death. The first drone note that initiates the record is heard again at the end of the final track, connecting beginning and end, symbolising the inseparability of life’s light and death’s darkness. Häxkapell embodies both illumination and shadow – but in this track, there is only a faint echo of life’s light, represented by the violins’ response to the abyssal choirs chanting death’s wordless psalm. Life is shattered; I am ground to ashes, scattered across the sky, and reborn as a slave of the abyss. The hammer of evil crushes the sorrow and desperation of the midsection in the relentless chorus. No weakness is tolerated within the grave’s cold, hard grip. Deep within the earth’s soil, roots grow, nourished by blood, death, and decay – Satan’s roots.

Oraklet commented on Metamorfos (‘Metamorphosis’) :
A metamorphosis, a transformation. To die. The grandeur of the
liminal. Coldness. Life turns towards the icy chill of death. Flesh
and blood become stone and soil. The frantic pace and shifting time
signatures accentuate the wild and rabid struggle within death’s
jaws. The sword of the endtimes burrows deeper into the chest, and
blood flows across the altar. Death is here; the acceptance of the
irreversible sets in. Cosmos opens its gates, and in stepping into
the void, one catches a glimpse of eternity’s truth. The epic
midsection, with its proud proclamation into the void, rolling
waves of harmonic insight, and euphoric guitar solo, symbolises the
realisation of one’s immortality; by embracing death’s darkness,
the hidden words are freed once more. But the price must be paid.
The time has come. Life is over. I am a slave to death. Into the
shadows. Down into the darkness. Die.
