The International raw black metal duo Grymmstalt has unleashed its second full-length album, “Mondschatten”. Led by two glorious names in the scene – Lord Valtgryftåke (Grollheim, Gryftigæn, Lord Valtgryftåke, Mánþiel, Pyreficativm, Ründgard, Thagirion Altars, Valdivian Tower, Wampyric Rites, Winterstorm) and Wampyric Strigoi (Avræ Lvnæ, Avstral Forest, Dungeon Steel, Oscurus Infernal, Wampyric Rites, Winterstorm, ex-Heinous Tyrant), Grymmstalt offers once again an estoteric tale of pure dark splendour.
The magical and intrinsic gesture of wild landscapes decorated
with frozen dresses, eternally perpetuated in the memory of the
southern return. Since the release of the debut with “Anthems of
Mournful Despondency” this intricate musical work orchestrated
under the southern parameters of the acclaimed “Southern Temple &
Monvmenta Valdiviensae” is crowned as a revival towards the sounds
crystallized by winter landscapes, the stoic memory of the
ancestors and the first men who walked on tears hardened by eons,
those floating mirrors that reflect the winter anniversaries on ice
tombs.
“Mondschatten” will briefly cover an odyssey between the
dimensional aspects of the south and the majesty wrapped by the
mysticism inherited from times past, thus closing a premature stage
of musicality with this project composed of southern heritage.
