THE GREAT OLD ONES have always been known to craft intriguing narrative-based concept albums based on the works of 20th century horror writer H.P. Lovecraft. While not a new concept in the metal scene – The Great Old Ones does it ever so differently, never losing the thread through their albums.
On their previous albums, THE GREAT OLD ONES explored Lovecraft’s various stories – yet never diving deep into the Dreamlands. On Kadath, the band does exactly that – the listener is thrown into the role of Randolph Carter, the main protagonist of Lovecraft’s 1943 novella: A Dream-Quest of Unknown Kadath.
“Kadath” is out TODAY via Season of Mist.
