Solo black metal enitty Démonos presents its new offering, “Polyhedra”

February 25 , 2025 | 11:00

Hailing from the mystical lands of India, the solo black metal project Démonos has unleashed its new EP record, “Polyhedra”! The record is distributed via Fiadh Productions

Polyhedra by Démonos has four hymns bound by first-wave-dominant raw black metal along with avantgarde, drone & psychedelic sensibility. ‘Polyhedra’ the word, is likened to being multi- and intra-dimensional. Démonos is pleased to further its musical horizons in the avant-garde, retaining raw black metal aural sensibility with this EP. We have dived into future-folkoric myth creation, ritual worship – ritualistic in our own terms, explored our roots deeper into self-expression in the Indian subcontinent; all this, while out-rightly rejecting dogma, doctrines & bigotry of religion, as opposed to how the world perceives.

Polyhedra is an exercise in penance through art, celebrates both – the feminine divine and the earth bound masculine and carries a strong anti-racist and to an extent anti-colonial sentiment that usurps puritanical archaic thought about humankind. Themes revolve around, as like, the title track about forceful occupation and gentrification, and other tracks on the theory of species, evolution, human behaviour and female daemonic worship rituals. For Roy, the record is artistically influenced by the likes of Bathory, Dissection, Tangerine Dream and Vond as well as the art of the great polish painter Zdzisław Beksiński and the filmmaker Andrei Tarkovsky.
