Transmuter, translated as “those who transmute alchemically”, is a project inspired by the contemporary black metal wave. Appearing in 2016, the band stood out for its unique musical approach that combines the original hardness of black metal with influences from other metal genres, such as trash, heavy, death, melodic and progressive metal. The band’s name comes from the process of transmutation, which means changing the properties of an object, in this case, the transmuted “object” is music itself. Transmuter sings about deception, nihilism, alchemy, the journey of the self into the past seen through the eyes of Caiaphas, who narrates the story.
“Apokatastasis” is the continuation of the story told in From Caiaphas To The Grave, where Caiaphas passes through all the Gates to meet the Creator, to understand the act of creation, knowledge and the magic of the world. Dissatisfied with the Creator’s smallness, Caiaphas manages to go all the way to the creation of the world, managing to find all the answers by himself. Thus, after the experience he had, Caiaphas decides to overthrow the creator and, instead of taking his place, brings everything to the stage prior to his existence. His mission will be to present the world as it is, unaltered by the idea of the existence of gods.
