A special Pro-cassette + slipcase edition will follow through Forbidden Files Records later this year.

The title of Dauþþarnōz debut “Himinniska Rūnōz” breaks down like one of the spells lost in the dust of funeral winds “Himinniska Rūnōz” is the Celestial chants and the sepulchral resonator, directly evokes the runes, those oracular spellings laden with mystery. Thus, Himinniska Rūnōz is not simply an evocation of ancient glyphs, It is a metaphysical declination, the runes of heaven, the secrets of the firmament, the cosmic murmur revealed through trance. This is not the elevated Christian heaven, but the pagan Himinaz, a liminal space between flesh and mist, the rift and world between the two realms, the living and the dead, a roof of ice and fire where the ghosts of ancestors and primordial gods dwell.

Dauþþarnōz confers a form of primitive Black Metal Ambient absolutely imbued with black magic resonance. With a traditional structure, but without explicit riffs or recognizable human voices, here we can find vestiges of layers fossilized in time, atmospheres that creep like black mist between burial mounds, the hypnagogic instrumentation made of celestial fragments. Dissolved chants, carved stones, percussed bones, and melodies that feel like the hidden Galdr… Mainly the sonority built for Dauþþarnōz could be directly reflected with the compositional structures of the glorious era of the 90s and early 2000s under the sonorical shadow of the germanic entity Wedard, Old Svartsyn as spirit, Agalirept as compositions, the rustic and primitive shadow of the music of Mysteries, Tyrant from Sweden and the catharsis of the keyboards, the orchestral primitivism of the first demo of Pyreficativm, Bergthron and the Finnish Wanderer, etc.

The album feels like a shamanic trance session of black sorcery. Each track is an ecstatic journey, channeled through sonic dismemberment. Himinniska Rūnōz doesn’t execute the classic concept of songs, but rather rites of liberation, altered states, verbalizations of primordial forces. In this context, Himinniska Rūnōz is not an album: it is a sonic catalyst, a sequence of ancient tablets or vibratory artifacts inscribed in blood.
This enchantment cannot be heard with modern ears. It is an album that demands a receptive body and a spirit prepared for the chaos of ancient mysteries. Its structures are circular and ritualistic. It is the music that might play during shamanic dismemberment. It is the sound of spiritual exile, of the collapse of historical time. A regressive vision toward telluric knowledge, toward primordial gnosis…
Dauþþarnōz establishes a sonic manifesto that eschews the formulas of modern Black Metal to immerse itself in a hidden art born from carved bones, dust, and the atavistic scream. It is a work that cannot be classified without diluting it. It is music for those who bear runes bathed in blood and branded into their flesh.
