Finnish Black Metal band Noitasapatti has released  their second studio album “Sankarin matka” today!
The album is available via Inverse Records (CD ORDERS available HERE).
“Sankarin matka” (Hero’s Journey) is a concept album consisting of an intro and 7 songs. Its dreamlike story slowly advances towards indescribable horrors, which waver between dream and reality, until the truth is exposed in all of its heinousness.
The album has been under making for nearly 2 years in our home studio, and it is finally ready for release despite many setbacks. Musically, the record consists of a broad range of sounds, some of which are already familiar to the band’s  music, but the musicians are also bringing a lot of fresh soundscape to this album. Influences and sounds of black metal, british deathdoom and progressive rock can be heard, breaking the boundaries of any particular genre.
After their  first album “Kuolemattomille maille” (To Immortal Lands) was left with very little attention on our home country, we hope that this piece introduces us better to broader audiences.New songs are also currently in the making, and they’re taking Noitasapatti’s vision even further!
