The Swedish black metal band Scitalis has unveiled a first glimpse into their upcoming album, “Maledictum”.
The record will be released on January 24th via the well-known German label Vendetta Records.
Maledictum dives into the suffering endured by women during the Swedish witch trials, blending melodies that embody despair and agony with furious riffs and drums that channel humanity’s wrath. The band’s evolving lineup is reflected throughout Maledictum. With new members W and L joining, Scitalis describes this album as a departure from their previous work, both in its musical style and in the creative process behind it. The result is a raw, emotional record that captures the agony and anger of the time while showcasing the band’s growth and uncompromising approach to black metal.
