The Australian black metal entity Drowning the Light has unleashed the fifth and last part of its new tale of darkness, “Conquer or Serve”, titled “Conquer or Serve V: Setapophian Black Magick”!
Azgorh reflects on the title:
“The fifth part of this five part cycle is “Setapophian Black Magick”. From the Black Pyramid, behold the world I have created! A meta reflection of what the album is; an act of Setapophian Black Magick focused on Setapophian Black Magick! Majestic, haunting and melancholic Black Metal! Sonic spells that are seized from abyssic visions, that cultivate and take root, and as you close your eyes, you can feel those shadows shifting. Aether and chaos now merge as one, dimensions above and horizons below. Where once mental drought reigned, rivers now flow. No longer bound to a reality that stagnates and decays. Acausal voices now building in chaos. A coiled onyx flame of wisdom, shedding its skin, revealing its shadow. The inner daemon calls out and communes with that first form of isolate consciousness as Apotheosis is attained. And now that power to create is granted… We cycle back to those primordial waters of chaos… Was this the end or the beginning of the cycle?
