The Dutch post-black metal band Fluisteraars reveals the details of their upcoming EP record, “De Kronieken van het Verdwenen Kasteel III – Grunsfoort”. De Kronieken van het Verdwenen Kasteel (The Chronicles of Vanished Castle) includes three EP’s that will be immortalized as 10″ series. Made in the deep caverns of old Bennekom under the influence of old damp castle dungeons. Each Chronicle takes the listener on a wander through a vanished Bennekom stronghold. The fortresses, mostly built on forgotten pagan shrines, have ancient stories. The band descended into their mental dungeons to unearth these stories, uncovering exiled pagan gods buried deep, cast away from the light. Through their chronicles, they become their voice.

“For this final volume of De Kronieken van het Verdwenen Kasteel, we wandered through the misty fields and marshes surrounding Grunsfoort Castle—erased from the map, its foundations whispering like gaping mouths beneath the stars. Not far off lies Quadenoord, where the ghost of a ruined mansion lingers beside a stream that still turns its ancient watermill. Servants once saw apparitions in the fog, rising each night like a restless spirit—a cursed damsel whom neither earth nor water could claim” – shares the band.
