Featuring members of Bat Magic, Bad Manor, Bellum Mortis, and Beneath Moonlight, Banshee Moon pays homage to early 90s symphonic black metal through dense orchestration, bestial screams, and masterful riff work that mixes frenzied speed with cooly laconic passages of assertively slower pacing.
“The Devil of the Pines” is the debut release from this new entity, and it’s a three-track EP which unfolds the mythology the Jersey Devil, a cryptozoological legend who is said to have haunted the Pine Barrens for hundreds of years feeding on livestock and destroying crops.
The EP is available in digital format from the OVO Ampwall and Bandcamp pages. The Realm and Ritual cassette edition features a tape-only bonus track, with art and layout work by Stephen ‘Unknown Relic’ Wilson.
Physical release will be available on Friday, June 27th from the R&R bandcamp in a limited edition of 75 pro-dubbed black cassettes with double-sided pad-print: https://realmandritual.bandcamp.com.
