Icelandic solo black metal entity ELDUR
announces its debut full-length album, “Rituals of
Death and Necromancy”. It will be released on
September 19th, and will be the first part of a series called
“Proscribed Chronicles of Niðavellir”. Led by the well-known
musician Einar Thorberg Guðmundsson (Fortíð, Katla., Thule and
etc.), the release promises to deliver strongly inspired 90’s black
metal sound.
Einar Guðmundsson shares: “My debut album
is finally complete. I have been leaving it on ice for months at a
time, just to come back to it with fresh ears and figure out what
kind of sound image I wanted to go for. The final results are a
sonic wall of epicness and pure Black Metal, with my usual heavy
dose of ’90’s influence. I will release it digitally on September
19th, but I will also explore opportunities for physical copies,
which will be available later in limited editions”.
