Hailing from England, SIDIOUS unveil the first glimpse into their upcoming fourth full-length album, “Malefic Necropolis”. The offering will be released on January 30th via Immortal Frost Productions, coming in various physical formats, as well as on digital format through all major platforms. All music was recorded between 2024 & 2025 at The Parlour Recording Studios, with the recording, mixing and mastering handled by Russ Russell. In the album, you can hear the guest vocals by Tubal-Qayin of Völniir on the song “Rotborn Terror”, while all lyrics were written by Isfeth. The cover artwork was crafted by Khaos Diktator Design, with layout design by WrathDesign. All other artwork paintings were created by Ronarg.

“Malefic Necropolis” is a direct follow up on their 3rd studio album “Blackest Insurrection” which was released in 2022. With “Malefic Necropolis”,  the band delivers a more mature record in both songwriting and production. The compositions have been extended with some wonderful interludes and speeches that might remind you of some older names who come from the same soil such as Cradle of Filth, Hecate Enthroned and the likes… but without sounding like those bands.

The album opens with a deathlike sounding intro that lures you straight into the hellish depth of their newly created sound, only to burst open the gates of the underworld and fire a massive blast beat attack upon the listener. The guitars are clear, yet full of power with the right dose of low end that plays through the album with fast riffing chords, variated with some sweeping melodies. The bass is destructive, hammering alongside the pounding and aggressive drums that just want to make you bang your head against the wall! The vocals are harsh and full of hatred, but also deliver a lot of variation with chorus vocals, speeches and even story telling moments.

Sidious has managed to write a record that stands tall and is definitely worthy of their countrymen who delivered some of the most memorable classics within the UK scene! “Malefic Necropolis” is a powerful record that is aggressive, hateful and fiercely sounding that will be liked by every fan of the extreme metal genre.
