Hailing from Aberdeen,the black/speed metal entity  Hellripper unleashes another glimpse into its  forthcoming 4th full-length offering, “Coronach”, to be released on March 27th via Century Media Records. Along with the main force James McBain, there are also five musicians who contribute to the sound of the album – Joseph Quinlan (lead, additional guitars in tracks 1 & 5), Marianne (additional vocals in tracks 1, 2 & 5), Jess Townsend (violin in track 4), Max Southall (additional percussions in track 7) and Antonio Rodriguez (bagpipes in track 8). The album, as well as its title and some of the song lyrics, were inspired by a poem by Sir Walter Scott with the same name.

From the moment that Hellripper burst into the metal world’s simmering consciousness back in 2014, the speed metal throne was destined to be conquered. Containing 8 new songs across 44 minutes, the highly anticipated 4th album “Coronach” reaches new levels of incisive, metallic intensity for the Scottish blackened speed metal threat.
