Hailing from Mexico, MUERTO reveal a new glimpse into their forthcoming offering, “Eclipsed Realms”, to be released on April 17th via Transcending Obscurity Records (https://tometal.com).

There is something about the rawness of emotions expressed in their pure, undiluted form and that’s probably what’s most appealing about this release. Against the backdrop of harrowing, plaintive music are the hollow echoes of an aggrieved, possessed-sounding woman, adding more malice to the music than anything possibly contrived. Over here is something dark, unseemly, insidious if only by being so naturally real and relatable. The intriguing doom-laden black metal music throbs and twists with a firm grip of the atmosphere pressing down on the listener like a hand to the throat.
