The necromancers of Thanatomass are back!!

Since their last album “Hades”, the grave was left wide open and now a new MLP has been crafted from ever-emerging moribund fumes: three brand new tracks spread over 20 minutes of utter audial laceration! “The Rabid Dead” will be released on August 17th via Nomad Snakepit Productions.

Thanatomass has since its very birth chosen a very clear and steady path. With arrows pointed to the heavens and marching unstirred towards the abyss, Thanatomass delivers yet another obnoxious work that will certainly appeal to fans of Sarcófago, Katharsis and Teitanblood!

Or like our comrades from the online magazine VM-Underground accurately pointed out, the band draws deeply from the well of early Brazilian satanic Black/Thrash Metal (Sarcófago, early Sepultura), the ritualistic filth of Archgoat, Pseudogod and Teitanblood, and the chaotic precision of modern Death/Black Metal hybrids. Yet, rather than mimic, Thanatomass reconfigures these elements into a sound that feels both reverent and volatile. There’s no reliance on repetition; riffs mutate and dissolve, structures collapse and reform, and the listener is left disoriented but exhilarated.

Nomad Snakepit is responsible for the vinyl treatment of this release: limited to 200 copies incl. poster (50x black, 100x supermarble clear/red, and 50x supermarble exclusively distributed by Living Temple Records).
