Built around a single hypnotic guitar motif that slowly shifts in character over the course of the song, “The Fire” moves through repetition and gradual transformation, with an almost ritualistic sense of motion – like embers spiralling endlessly into the darkness.
Where much of “The Expanse” draws from vast landscapes and solitude, “The Fire” turns inward, exploring the trance-like pull of flame, night, and silence. Harsh guitars and immersive atmosphere intertwine to create something both meditative and unsettling: a moment of stillness suspended between spirituality and desolation.
