On August 12th, the day of the total solar eclipse, the independent Bulgarian black metal project ROG released its new offering, “Надсъзнание” (“Superconsciousness”). This is the first new release by ROG since 2023 and the first in which the lyrics are entirely written in Bulgarian. “Надсъзнание” is a conceptual work, whose poetry tries to achieve a more unusual aesthetic. The genre remains black metal, but the album is enriched with many new elements – progressive rock excerpts, heavy ambient, melodic choirs, passages played on a harp, among others. The album was composed, recorded and mixed by ROG in 2025 and 2026 with a deliberately raw sound, and the drums were recorded by Ivo Ivanov (Enthrallment).  The front cover was crafted by ROG and Eche. “Надсъзнание” is also being released on physical media in a limited edition of 15 audio cassettes, issued by the Bulgarian label StalakTone Tapes.
