Swedish black metal act ARCKANUM reveals the first glimpse into its forthcoming 10th full-length offering, “Beswærilsin”. After years of silence, the Thursian Current behind ARCKANUM remained alive, gathering new gnosis, knowledge, experience and force until it demanded manifestation once again. “Beswærilsin” marks the beginning of ARCKANUM’s third phase: a continuation of the same adversarial path through more than thirty years of spiritual and artistic development. Eleven compositions form a larger magical working: the Invocation and the Oath, where music and sorcery are inseparable. The same Utgardian Flame. Thirty years deeper.

The album’s lyrics are written in Old Swedish, drawing on Old Norse and Swedish poetic traditions alongside elements of Swedish svartkonst. The music and lyrical themes reflect Shamaatae’s ongoing exploration of Thursian spirituality and the Left-Hand Path.

“Beswærilsin” (to be released in October 2026) and its precursor EP “Motestandarin” mark the beginning of ARCKANUM’s third phase – an initiation emerging from a deeper stratum of the Thursian current. This is neither a return nor a repetition, but a manifestation forged through decades of spiritual workings, experience, and endurance. Across eleven ritualistic compositions on the upcoming album, the past is not revisited through nostalgia, but reawakened as a living anti-cosmic force.

Founded in 1992, ARCKANUM stands among the oldest and most revered names in Swedish Black Metal. Created and led solely by Shamaatae, the project has released nine full-length albums and numerous EPs throughout its more than three-decade history. “Beswærilsin” will be ARCKANUM’s first full-length album in nine years. Furthermore, two additional albums have already been written and are scheduled for release in the coming years through DSR Productions.

“Beswærilsin” will be released on October 31 via Darkness Shall Rise Productions.
