Se, josta ei puhuta is an extreme metal band from Iisalmi, Finland, formed by Samu Männikkö in 2007.
In the same year, the band managed to form a quartet and signed a contract with the label Sound of Finland in connection with the release of their debut long-playing album, „Ne, joista ei puhuta“, which was released in 2010 and represented the Finns mainly on their local scene.

The following year, the band recorded their second full-length album, „Musta, kylmä, syvä ja“, released in November by Spinefarm Records.

It wasn’t until 2020 that the band finally decided to record their third full-length album, „Gehenna“.
The title  will be released on April 22nd  through the Inverse Records label , and will be available on all Digital platfroms and of course, on  physical format –  CD.

Se, josta ei puhuta (in translation, „The one that is not talked about“) are creating melodic black / death / thrash metal, using in their previous albums, quite naturally, an abundant amount of traditional heavy metal elements.

„Gehenna“, quite unlike the previous titles, presents a more black metal-oriented approach when it comes to the songwriting process, investing more vicious energy, more cutting and cold guitars, alternating with playful heavy metal solos, which over time have become something as a trademark for the band and are always very pleasant to find among the songs.

Here, we can hear fast drums and tremolo, fierce vocals and captivating black / death metal atmosphere, more sinister and obsessive at times than the Hell’s chambers themselves. At times, psychedelic elements make their way, completely taking us and capturing us firmly in the grip of the content and meaning of the album.

Songs like „Kuolleena syntynyt“ (in translation, „Stillborn“) grab you by the throat and drag you to the very end with their tortured furious vocals and cold atmosphere, without feeling the ticking of the clock even for a second.

In other songs we can hear ambient sounds, obsessive growls like they’re coming from a ghost room of horrors – it’s like reading a horror novel or witnessing a supernatural and fierce attack by the Legion on your own being.

And this is exactly what the chaotic cover by the artist Bahrull Marta illustrates – total destruction , distortion of reality and digging through the nightmarish doors of darkness.

The whole album exudes aggression, nihilism, sweet to the distorted senses. A ritualistic sound trap designed to swallow your soul and spit it out at the end.
Presented through great production and masterful performance, „Gehenna“ uncompromisingly declares its intentions to present the nightmares of Purgatory and the suffering of its cursed eternal souls.
