The international black metal band Umbra Conscientia is one of the unique names at the black metal scene and it is no wonder that it has found its place in the Terratur Possessions label since its inception.

In 2019, the band with members from Costa Rica and Germany emerged from literally nowhere, impressing all black metal music fans like a charm with their psychedelic and relentless, keen debut ‘Yellowing of the Lunar Consciousness’.

Something quite inevitable – the vocals in the music of Umbra Conscientia were so obsessive that it would be impossible not to shiver at least once while listening to the records, and this combined with the chaotic instrumental and psychedelic atmosphere was able to drive you into delirium.

The same can be expected from „Nigredine Mundi“ – their second full-length album.
With the difference that the whole power of the band seems to be tripled here and the production is even more clean and clearly presented – the same aggression is present at the heart of the album, as the dose of cold and cutting riffs completely conquers, coming to the fore.

The obsessive vocals progressively gain their weight and swallow your senses with each passing piece, causing again more and more hallucinogenic experiences, squeezing your throat and not letting you breathe at specific passages.

In a slightly slower tempo, but still sounding vicious and uncompromising, „Nigredine Mundi“ presents us five somber anthems, filled with nihilistic atmosphere and malice, shining through the prism of excellently played and produced black metal, which is ready to embrace your thoughts and send them to some unexplored territories.

The cover artwork , created by the artist Dávid Glomba, perfectly depicts the album’s atmosphere through the image of the Burning one, standing with his bleeding fiery heart over the unfortunate fallen soul , pierced by the all-consuming servants of the Serpent.
An apocalyptic image that captures the decline of the corrupt, the darkness and sacrifice in the name of higher values.
A reference to the heart of the album and its message that humanity is increasingly losing the meaning of its battle and, in fact, as the title of the song „Mundo Vult Mori“ suggests, „the world wants to die“, corrupted by its nightmarish deeds.

Transcendental to its core, “Nigredine Mundi” presents the obscurity of the world through severe and massive riffs, fierce and emotional vocals and nihilistic lyrics, all of which allow us to experience a true and all-consuming black metal ritual that rises above with its powerful stream of Luceferian enlightenment and conquering, obsessive darkness.

Favorite song: „Resonatia Diaboli“

The first track from the album, „Constant Self Sacrifice in Devotion to Darkness“, is available for listening now:

The album will be released in May through  Terratur Possessions .
