The Finnish solo pagan black metal project Vermilia has unveiled а second single from her upcoming third full-length album, “Karsikko”.

In Finnish religion and folklore, karsikko refers to a set of markings made on a tree somewhere between the home of the deceased and their burial site. These markings were believed to prevent the spirit of the deceased from returning among the living.

Karsikko is set to be released next year, with further details yet to be revealed. However, today we can enjoy the newly unveiled single, “Kansojen Kaipuu”:
