TAAKE with a special anniversary show in Bucharest this February

January 6 , 2025 | 13:00

Norwegian black metal master TAAKE will play an exclusive show at Quantic Pub, Bucharest, on Friday, February 14!

TAAKE returns to Quantic on February 14th with a special show to celebrate 20 years since the release of the album “Doedskvad”. With over 30 years in the black metal scene, Taake has become one of the most appreciated bands in the genre, and their added value to the genre is recognized both nationally and internationally. Taake has demonstrated that although they are strongly anchored in the traditions of the genre, they have the ability to continuously renew themselves.
In case you’ve forgotten – the album “Doedskvad” is the final chapter and culmination of the trilogy “Nattestid…Bjoergvin…Doedskvad”, considered to be the piece de resistance in the band’s entire discography.
Varied, intense and rebellious, as original as it is faithful to its roots and tradition, “Doedskvad” was the material that consolidated the position of  Taake on the black metal map.

On February 14, Norwegians Taake will present the full album “Doedskvad” at Quantic Pub.

The legendary Norwegians from Taake  (the full live band) will take the Quantic stage, alongside two of the most representative bands of the Romanian black metal scene: VOKODLOK and NOCTURN.

Active on the underground scene since 2000, Vokodlok quickly distinguished themselves with an aggressive and intense style. Their debut was marked by the demo “Unchain the Wolf” in 2000, followed by the album “Mass Murder Genesis” in 2003, both released under the aegis of the Beauty of Pain label.

After numerous concerts and two Balkan tours with Catamenia, the band from Timisoara took an extended break. However, in 2019, they resumed their creative activity, culminating in the release of the Oracle’s Fury EP in 2020. Now, Vokodlok is preparing to return to the live stage in force in 2025, with the release of their second album, The Egregious Wight. The band’s current lineup includes Ghiaur (guitar), Urmuz (guitar), Blestemat (bass) and Pestartz (vocals), preparing a new chapter in its history.

NocturN was formed in 2000 by Timișoara’s Dead Architect (guitar and vocals) and Malphas (drums). The first materials with which they gained appreciation in the underground scene include “Death Scent” and the appearance on the split album “Hell has no gate, yet men will dig to enter”. Later, after completing the band with Seer (guitar) and Kroll (bass), “Thrones of Deception” appears – the first act of the story of the architect who tries to summon Malphas, the Prince of Hell. In January 2024, the Timișoara band released “Act 2: The Conjuring”, where the architect manages to summon Malphas and manages to trick him into carrying out his plan.
