Dutch solo black metal entity SCHAVOT has unveiled a new single from its upcoming album

The Dutch solo black metal entity Schavot has unveiled a new single from its upcoming third full-length album, “Verstrikt in Halflicht”.
The title is about to be released on February 27th via the label Void Wanderer Productions.
With the third full length album ‘Verstrikt in halflicht’, the one-man black metal project Schavot delves further again into the twilight world of the past. The lyrics are inspired by old Dutch folk tales and history, while the music is dark and filled with nostalgia. Multi-instrumentalist Floris was influenced by 90’s symphonic black metal bands such as Obtained Enslavement and Emperor and aimed to revive that style. However, many of his own influences were incorporated, giving the album a completely unique identity. As the artwork by none other than Kris Verwimp suggests, atmosphere and nostalgia take center stage on this black metal album. Atmospheric intermezzo’s blend seamlessly with aggressive passages filled with blast beats and cold screams.
‘Verstrikt in halflicht’ was written, recorded and produced by Floris over the course of a year in his home studio. More than before, the symphonic parts came much to the foreground and some songs were even written from keyboards. This has led to fresh inspiration and a wider palette of sounds and atmospheres. However Schavot is a one-man band, Floris asked friends to contribute some lyric fragments, vocal pieces, trumpets and guitar solos. The mastering was provided by Devi Hisgen with partly analog equipment for the desired nostalgic sound.
