Hailing from the fascinating lands of ice and fire, Icelandic black metallers Nexion uveil their new spell, “Uþarpaspa” – track from the upcoming album “Sundrung”, to be released by Avantgarde Music on September 12, 2025. Five years after their acclaimed debut album “Seven Oracles”, Nexion are back to deliver their new opus, enriched by an illustration by Jose Gabriel Sabogal.

Named after ancient runic inscriptions carved against those who defiled sacred spaces, “Uþarpaspa”, which means “Prophecy of Destruction” is both an incantation and a judgement passed for a humanity that is ripping itself apart.

Nexion is a rising powerhouse in the Icelandic underground metal scene. Playing a very aggressive and more brutal variant of black metal than most of their countrymen, they sound like nothing else – with lyrics steeped in nihilist and pessimist occultism , Nexion are the soundtrack for the inevitable impending collapse of humanity.
