After 28 years of silence, SULPHURIA, the first 90s Italian black metal band of the Marche region in Italy are reunited and back with a full-length album with a violent and mysterious title “L’Odore Del Sangue”. Six tracks of mindblowing voyage in the black metal with experimental elements of the 70s progressive dark rock film soundtracks. Obsessive and obscure melodies, aggressive drums with blast beat, classic and melodic black metal riff accompained by the sound of vintage and famous synthesizers, technical and symphonic solos and evil vocals of a damned soul… Strongly recommended for fans of Goblin, Mercyful Fate, Beherit, Gorgoroth, Dissection, Immortal and Emperor.

“L’Odore Del Sangue” will be co-released via Satanath Records and Pluton’s Rising Productions on October 13th, 2025! Claim your copies at [email protected] or [email protected].

In 1991, Adram picked up his electric guitar and founded a very crude band called Sulphur, with blasphemous lyrics initially in Italian. Shortly after, he recorded some test tapes, found his companions (a bass player and a drummer), and changed the name of the group to something more personal and evocative: Sulphuria. The name (as well as Sulphur) is inspired by the sulphurous water springs near Acquasanta Terme (AP) – a mountain place full of charm near the national park of the Sibillini Mountains and the national park of Gran Sasso and Monti della Laga.

After some disagreements with the other members, Vulcano (drummer of Scala Mercalli), Pestifer Vulturnus (guitars), and Ritus Tenebrarum (bass, currently Hesperus of the one-man band Hesperia) joined the band. The band released four demos in the ’90s: Funeral Oration (1994), Ad Giacendum Sub Fluminis Infernalis (1995), Caelum Sanguineum (1996), and Nera Celebrazione Elettrica (1997). The band returned with a new line-up formed by Adram and Mike The Unholy (Scala Mercalli and Sleazer) and with a new style: Experimental Black Metal.
