Austrian black metallers Asphagor reveal the details from their upcomign fifth full-length album, “The Aphotic Vortex”. The title will be released on October 24th via Immortal Frost Productions, coming in various physical formats such as: Jewel Case CD with a 8paged booklet, limited to 500 copies; 12″ Vinyl + an Insert, coming in 2 different colours, limited to 250 copies: Classic Black Vinyl limited to 150 copies, Onyx Vinyl limited to 100 copies.As well as on Digital format through all major platforms.

Founded in 2007, Austrian extreme metal outfit Asphagor has developed into a recognizable brand and live powerhouse in Central Europe.The five current lineup members from different musical backgrounds and influences make for a unique blend of black, death and progressive metal elements. Never limited by genre customs yet firmly rooted in rock ’n roll. A unique art style approach incorporating stage builds and lighting concepts have followed each of the past studio releases. The band prides itself on the in-house design of all artwork and merchandise by vocalist Morgoth. Promoting the 2023 release “Pyrogenesis”, Asphagor toured across Europe alongside Dark Fortress on their farewell journey. 2025 marks a new beginning as the band signed with Immortal Frost Productions for their upcoming 5th full length album “The Aphotic Vortex” to be released in the Autumn.

All music was composed by M.E.Sargoth, Hybreos and M.Zanesco.Cover artwork and booklet artworks for the album were crafted by Morgoth, while layout & design were handled by Hybreos & WrathDesign.
