Ukrainian black metal entity Ildverden unveils a new track from his upcoming fifth full-length album, “Thou Not Shalt”, to be released on October 25th as co-release between Satanath Records and Wine And Fog Productions (Ita): https://bit.ly/3VAKxsn.

After 10 years since the last album “Темніч чорна йде за мною” was released on Satanath Records, the ILDVERDEN project, founded in 2007, returns with the sixth full-length with the telling title “THOU NOT SHALT”. Eleven new songs plunge into melancholic deep reflection on the meaning and meaninglessness of existence itself. The music and lyrics have undergone many changes over this long period. From the moderately raw and so familiar to the ear classic black metal, the tilt in “Thou Not Shalt” is taken towards mid-tempo, measured, less expressive, ritual-occult metal at the junction of several styles. Long tracks have been replaced by shorter, but meaningful and conscious, saturated both musically and in the lyrics songs. However, this does not mean that the music is devoid of the lion’s share of aggression and characteristic high speed of performance, since the current style is still within the framework of the original genre of black metal. The lyrics have somewhat moved away from the pagan theme towards nihilism, detachment from what is happening and what exists, reflections and regrets, with moods of existentialist philosophy. All guitar parts are recorded live through analog pedals and tube combo amplifiers (signals are picked up by microphones), which is quite a rarity these days… The final part of the album features the track “Fucking Hell (Part II)” after the main part’s final “Outro”, recorded separately from the recording session of the rest of the compositions, performed in the style of old school black/thrash metal/punk, as a kind of tribute to the genre. The cover features the new logo of the project, made by Disfleshed, and in the booklet of the edition and on the cover you can find more than one beautiful art by Nether Temple.
