US enigmatic black metal entity Knellrite unveils its debut full-length offering, “Entaphosophia”.

From the first movement, Knellrite embodies a merciless sonic opus. The extended, arcane, almost liturgical guitars don’t advance, they implode. The chords are prayers that drag on themselves, fragmented toward a karmic cycle that crumbles to reveal the essence of ruin. The percussions are hammers of closure, as if sealing the tomb of the human under the weight of the absolute. And the voices emanations of a split spirit fluctuate between fluctuating cacophonies and theological blasphemy, not in defiance of the divine, but as a virtuous extrapolation of a divinity dissolved in reverberating chaos.

In this sense, Knellrite transcends simple affiliation with occult black metal, its doctrine is neither Satanic nor theurgic, but epistemological/ontological. Each track is articulated as a treatise on the dissolution of the subject in the contemplation of the ineffable. The lyrics form a symbolic fabric that dialogues with alchemical nigredo not as a phase of transformation, but as a permanence in darkness while each composition seems to stem from the same funereal archetype a sequence of exhalations and rituals surrounding the dead body of wisdom.

There is a dialectic of two forces, two entities that confront and need each other: one that invokes from the earth, the other that responds from the void. In their encounter, the nature of Knellrite is revealed as a two-faced entity in “Entaphosophia”, a divided organism that generates its own fundamental argument. In that sense, the band situates itself within enlightenment and dense philosophical systems descendants of the mystics of apophasis, where to know is to die and to understand is to profane.
