As winter once again settles over Québec’s forests, a rumor rides the wind: a northern breath echoing with battles, death, and hope. Forteresse present “À couteaux tirés” –  their  first new track in nine years. Recorded “in-house” by the band, it offers a glimpse of what lies ahead for the upcoming album. The track is accompanied by the instrumental piece “Torpeur hivernale”, and both will be released together on an exclusive 7″ in 2026. The cover artwork is a fragment from a painting of Cornelius Krieghoff.
