After a decade of silence, the enigmatic Bulgarian authority Aryan Art resurfaces like a sacred shrine, soaring above the earth. “За Любов и Светлина” (“For Love and Light”) emerges via Darker than Black Records and Lower Silesian Stronghold as a 10″ MLP. Except Alexander Ivanov – the leader of the project, there are several guest musicians whose craftsmanship appear in the record – Barlett Green (guitar leads, acoustic guitars, mandolin), Lachtnaen (guitar leads, mellotron) & D.Vanev (rhytm guitars). All mixing and mastering was done by Alexander Ivanov.
Standing as a natural continuation of “Хармония – Вечност – Вселена”, the release expands its horizon both sonically and spiritually. While remaining deeply rooted in pagan reverence and the worship of nature, its expression turns markedly inward. Love and light are not offered as triumphant absolutes, but as fragile forces wrested from endurance and earned through solitude, ritual, and silent resistance, burdened with ancestral memory and the eternal cycle of renewal. Subtle remnants of Alexander’s earlier project, Bagatur, surface as textural and thematic phantoms, binding past and present without surrendering to nostalgia.
“За Любов и Светлина” stands as a quiet banner for the heights of Bulgarian black metal through spiritual devotion and a profound connection with the natural world. A carefully crafted piece of Art that is one of the strongest examples for the heart of the sound, coming from the fascinating Bulgarian realms.
