Hailing from Santiago, Chile, the black metal beasts Throne of Evil reveal their latest full-length offering, “La noche más oscura”. Coming six years after their previous opus, “Orator” (2020), the new album is immersed in the deepest recesses of Nigredo – the musicians reveal eight new pure manifestations of the deep dive into the dark matter of the void. Nigredo, or “blackness,” is the initial stage of the alchemical Magnum Opus (Great Work), representing a profound process of decomposition, putrefaction, and confrontation with the “shadow self”. It is a psychological “dark night of the soul” where false aspects of personality are broken down to make way for new growth. The music for the release was recorded, mixed and mastered at Sonido Origen. Its cover artwork was crafted by Constanza Abarca.
