On April 24th, Spanish Black Metal heavyweights AVERSIO HUMANITATIS officially release their third album, “To Become the Endless Static” –  a hammer-blow of astounding riffing, warped leads, riotous drumming and ultra-committed vocals all wrapped in an oppressive atmosphere as serious as your life.

Guitarist, producer and mastermind Simón da Silva describes the musical evolution between 2020’s “Behold the Silent Dwellers” and “To Become the Endless Static“: “We like to transform our sound in a progressive and natural way. I think all the changes we introduce come from seeds that we planted before. The new album emphasizes a more brutal, aggressive sound, perhaps more rooted in Death Metal in some of the songs. On the previous album this could already be found in certain riffs and passages, especially in the opening tracks ‘The Weaver of Tendons‘ and ‘The Presence in the Mist’, but on this new album we have pushed that side of the band further. At the same time, there are still songs that remain in a more atmospheric, Black Metal-oriented territory, which has always been part of our identity. I still need to think about it more, but I believe we should continue reinforcing this direction in the future.”

Vocalist/bassist Alex Moreán comments on the album’s themes of physical and mental decay: “This is very much a concept album. For me, the idea sparked after the passing of a person who was not only very dear to me, but also someone I looked up to my whole life. This person was an artist in many different forms, and though they will be leaving a rich and long legacy behind them, the harsh reality is that within a couple generations all that they have accomplished will be settled in dust. It was not a quick process. Every step of it was soul crushing to a degree I was not familiar with at the time and it really gave me a different perspective on things.”
