The Chilean underground once again opens the gates to chaos as EJECUTOR unveil their newest full-length opus, “Medium… La Daga De La Iniciación”. Emerging from Santiago’s long-standing extreme metal underworld, the band continue to embody the savage spirit of South American blackened thrash/death metal in their  potent, ritualistic and violently primal work.

Formed in 1999, EJECUTOR have spent decades cultivating a sound deeply rooted in the raw barbarity of the 1980s extreme metal movement. Their new album does not seek modern refinement or polished precision but rather sharpens the rusted blade that has always defined the band – chaotic riffs, possessed vocals, sepulchral atmosphere, and a fierce devotion to the old ways.

Containing seven tracks drenched in occult mysticism and infernal imagery, “Medium… La Daga De La Iniciación” descends into themes of spiritual darkness, esoteric invocation, and forbidden rites. Titles such as “Satanás y sus Legiones Esperan por Ti,” “El Grimorio Oculto de Salomón,” and “Culto A Shub Niggurath” immediately reveal the album’s fascination  with the  obscure arcane traditions.

Musically, the album channels the untamed essence of early South American extremity. The influence of bands such as Sarcófago, Vulcano, and early Sepultura can be felt throughout the record’s rabid energy and primitive violence.  Their approach remains deeply personal  and steeped strictly  in the Chilean underground tradition, driven by an unmistakably morbid aura.

The production preserves an organic and stripped-down character, reinforcing the album’s feeling of occult immediacy. Recorded in Santiago at La Casona during late 2025 and early 2026, the material was mixed and mastered by Benjamín Barrantes at Necrotic Studios.

The current incarnation of EJECUTOR features Abraxas on bass, Thrash handling drums and vocals, and Skullshredder on guitars and bass duties. Together, the trio delivers a work that feels like an invocation emerging from a hidden crypt from another time, another era of impenetrable darkness…
