After welcoming a new member last year and thus transforming into an unholy trinity, the Greek black metallers HOR unveil their new offering, “III”, out now  via Metal Throne Record Store. Returning for another round, armed with a refined lineup and ready to strike again, this effort is about to exceed the expectations of HOR’s fanbase.

After the full albums “Exitium” of 2019, “No Birth nor End” of 2021 and the split release of 2024 “Unholy Devastating Trinity”, the album “III” sees a maturation in sound, delivering a tighter, more aggressive well-rounded offering from the band as they come into their own identity, with the new “beast” member Ungod (Sad, Necrohell etc.) behind the drum kit.

While there are moments that certainly channel the frosty hallmarks of 2nd wave of 90s Black Metal Scene, HOR is adding a fresh new flavor to the sound that the band’s founders Ophion & Throne came to define. ‘III’ consists of six, crushing songs and promises a full-on total assault from start to finish, with frigid riffage that are layered with hellish vocals and a perspective to establish them as one of the best black metal bands of the Hellenic black metal scene.
