Harrison McKenzie‘s Immiserator, have signed with Apocalyptic Witchcraft for the release of debut album “The Blight Of Subsistence”, an outpouring of soul-crushing, experimental blackened death.

Immiserator is a manifestation of industrial ruin, environmental decay, and the slow violence of civilization against itself. Fixated on themes of immiseration, technological domination, class collapse, and terminal capitalism, the project channels visions of a world where humanity persists only as a residue within the machinery of capital. Immiserator is a pessimistic observation of the coming obsolescence of mankind. It was founded by Harrison McKenzie of Olde Throne in late 2025 as an experimental blackened death metal project.

Harrison McKenzie’s states about his collaboration with Apocalyptic Witchcraft the following: “As I approached the mixing stage of this album, I started to think about how I wanted to release it. The first label that came to mind was Apocalyptic Witchcraft – I felt the album would be a really great fit in their catalog. I have followed AW for a while now, so it was clear to me that the label had an appreciation for the weird and obscure side of the genre. So of course I was thrilled to receive a reply of interest in releasing the album and I am thrilled for Apocalyptic Witchcraft to be the home for Immiserator.”

And the head of Apocalyptic Witchcraft, Conor Droney, had no hesitation in welcoming Harrison and Immiserator to the Apocalyptic Witchcraft ranks:“We’re proud to welcome Immiserator to the roster. Blight of Subsistence stood out immediately with its uncompromising vision and crushing atmosphere. A soundtrack to industrial decay, ecological collapse, and humanity’s slow obsolescence, it embodies exactly the kind of bold and challenging art we are committed to supporting.”

“Blight of Subsistence” will be released on August 28th via Apocalyptic Witchcraft on limited edition digipak CD, cassette and digital formats.
