Australian black metal entity Drowning the Light reveals its new demo offering, “I am the Dagger… I am the Sacrifice”, released on tape by Dark Adversary Productions (https://darkadversary.bigcartel.com).
Azgorh comments on the album: ” When traversing the darkness, one must be willing to be both the dagger and the sacrifice… To cut that thread of ones own fate, thus both creating a new one and sacrificing what could of been and having the Will to embrace that shadow that envelops the soul. Having the Will to surpass this mortal coil and accepting that sacrifice of ones self. This demo is split into two tracks, “I am the Dagger” is a majestic and melancholic raw black metal blade that pierces the night and cuts through the veil of life. “I am the Sacrifice” is a distorted obscure worship style synth piece of midnight music that is a hypnotic mantra accepting ones own destiny… A sacrifice that although is embraced is still filled with torment, pain and melancholy. A sacrifice to transcend beyond this flesh prison”.
